Logo Explanation
The logo for the 38th Annual Southwest Liturgical Conference Study Week was designed by Houston liturgical artist Muriel Christensen.  As we celebrate "The Body of Christ" at the turn of the millennium, we recognize that we are a chosen people made one in Christ.  Twelve faces interfacing with one another cascade in a litany - gathered from the twelve tribes of Israel and built on the foundation of the Apostles.  In the celebration of the Eucharist both the fruits of the earth and the assembled community are transformed into the Body of Christ.  The open-ended cross speaks of the paschal mystery reaching out through all time binding our lives to the life, death and resurrection of Christ.
