Celebrating The Body of Christ:
  A festival of hymns, songs 
and spiritual canticles


Overview

     Join in raising your voice in praise, thanksgiving and petition as we sing of the multi-dimensions of El Cuerpo de Cristo, Ḿnh Thánh Chúa Kitô, Corpus Christi, The Body of Christ.
     Gather at Grace Presbyterian Church with a choir and instrumentalists from the Diocese of Galveston-Houston to make one great Te Deum.  You will sing and hear old songs performed in a new way and experience wonderful new music for the church.
     This exciting evening of praise and prayer will be led by two outstanding church musicians, John Ferguson, organist par excellence in leading hymn festivals, and Hal Hopson, internationally known director.
     Don't miss this thrilling experience of sung worship which will bring new meaning to Psalm 150 "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" [Top]

Hal Hopson John Ferguson
Hal Hopson

Hal Hopson is internationally known as a composer, church musician, clinician and conductor.  He is the composer / arranger of over 1000 published works in all styles of church music.  He was a participant in the Milwaukee Symposia for Church Composers.  Hal Hopson has conducted choral and hymn festivals across the United States, Europe and Asia.  His special interest in the assembly's song and the role of the choir in liturgy will be evident throughout the Special Event.   [Top]
   
John Ferguson

John Ferguson is the organist par excellence in leading hymn festivals.  He is a composer, teacher, church musician and recitalist.  Dr. Ferguson is Professor of Organ and Church Music at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and he has led festivals for NPM, AGO, ACDA, and CG.  As he leads the singing from the four manual, 86 rank Schantz organ you will be caught up in song prayer in a way that will be new, exciting and totally unique.  [Top]
