The Dioceses of
Colorado Springs and Pueblo invite you to come to Colorado in January 2002,
for the 40th Annual Southwest Liturgical Conference Study Week.
Begun during the Second Vatican Council, the Southwest
Liturgical Conference is the oldest and largest inter-diocesan coalition of
theologians, diocesan leadership, and parish personnel which explores the
rich and wonderful worship life of the Roman Catholic Church. The 27
dioceses of the conference representing 7 states, gather every year to study
and prayerfully celebrate the ritual nature of a tradition that has traveled
through the whole history and course of the Christian Gospel.
The 2002 Study Week will focus on our distinct
character in FORMED IN FAITH: CELEBRATING CATHOLIC IDENTITY. Internationally
renowned speakers will lead us into greater understanding of why the
Faithful gather, how through Word and Sacrament we are formed, and the
nature of our being sent forth in Mission to evangelize from our transformed
hearts.
Colorado Springs and Pueblo are humbled by this
wonderful opportunity to welcome you and host you at our 40th gathering of
blessing in Colorado Springs. |
