A. Cripple Creek Casino Excursion
     Head west into the Rocky Mountains, for breathtaking vista, with views of Pikes Peak, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Destination: Cripple Creek, at 10,000 feet above sea level. Cripple Creek, "The World’s Greatest Gold Camp" is steeped in history after gold was discovered in poverty gulch in 1891. Today, this old wild west mining town has been converted into a unique gambling town, offering limited stakes gaming including poker, blackjack and slots, all in glittering Victorian casinos!
 
    Time: 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., via coach, with cash-back coupon books. Cost: $30 per person.

 

B. Broadmoor Neighborhood & Cheyenne Canyon
      Broadmoor, t
he area that gave birth to one of America’s oldest five star, five diamond hotels. Built in 1918 and set on over three thousand acres with Cheyenne Lake as the complex’s grand centerpiece, the resort is considered to be one of the Grand Dames of the United States. The tour includes the Broadmoor neighborhood, Pauline Chapel El Pomar Center, wind statues in the Star Kempf Garden, Cheyenne Canyon and an overlook of the magnificence of Seven Falls.
 
    Time: 12:30-4:30 p.m. Cost: $30 per person.

 

C. Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods & Old Colorado City
     Head north to the Air Force Academy for a stop at the Visitor’s Center, Chapel and Field House (if available). Then on to the magnificent Garden of the Gods, a geological wonder where incredible red rock formations will be viewed, some of which date back over 280 million years. Then stop at the Garden of the God’s Trading Post, where lunch will be on your own. The final leg of the tour will be the novel and historic shopping district of Old Colorado City. Set in the architecture of historic brick buildings, it has never lost its feisty frontier spirit.
 
    Time: 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Cost: $30 per person.
