The Choir of Christ the
King
Parish is offering an evening excursion. Participants will be picked up at
the hotel and transported to Christ the
King
Parish for a delicious dinner, given a tour of this unique Church and
treated to a concert. The church was dedicated by Bishop Kelley in May of
1928, and was the
first
church to be dedicated with the name “Christ the
King.”
Of Gothic, Byzantine and Art Deco architecture, the church was designed by
Chicago
modernist Francis
Barry
Byrne, a contemporary of Frank Lloyd
Wright.

found in the United States.”
